Preparing for the return of our fallen Hero USMC LCpl. Joshua “Chachi” Corral

After the stirring memorial last night, there was no doubt that Josh “Chachi” Corral had touched the hearts and lives of so many of his family members, class mates, team mates and beyond.  This morning, members of the Diablo Valley Flag Brigade, Warriors’ Watch Riders, Operation: Creek side, Blue Star family members, patriots and grateful citizens came together to make preparations for our Hero’s return to his beloved home.  We spent the morning securing the 100+ 3’ x 5’ American flags to their poles as all discussed the revelations and thoughts shared just a night before.  The poles were then deployed Danville’s Hartz Ave., the route our young Marine will take as He is brought from Travis AFB to the funeral home.

Barring any unforeseen delays, the escort is expected to pass through downtown Danville during the noon hour.  If at all possible, it is requested that all with the means to do so join us along the roadside to let the Corral family know their community share’s in their loss and pride in their Son.  Help give this American hero the reception he deserves.

They will be escorted down I80 to I680 to the El Cerro exit, in which they will come down Hartz Avenue to the funeral home, Wilson and Kratzes, 825 Hartz Way, Danville, 94526.

Wednesday he will be escorted to Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette.

God Bless you “Chachi”.
